Love's Labour's Lost, Caesar on Tap for 2017

Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, The PRofessional Theatre Company of California Lutheran University logo The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, the professional theater company of California Lutheran University (CLU), has chosen William Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost and Julius Caesar for its 2017 outdoor theater festival, the company's 21st season.

Love's Labour's Lost, directed by Kevin P. Kern, opens on June 30 and will run through July 16. The John Slade-helmed Julius Caesar takes over the stage on CLU's Kingsmen Park the following week, running July 21 to Aug. 6. All shows are at 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

General admission for the festival is $20 for adults and free for those under 18. Parking is available in the lot at the corner of Olsen Road and Mountclef Boulevard.

In addition to the summer Shakespeare Festival shows, the nonprofit Kingsmen Shakespeare Company coordinates apprentice programs for professional and aspiring Shakespearean actors, a spring educational tour program in local elementary schools, and summer theater camps for youth.
